OTSO stands for “On The Shoulders Of,” inspired by the phrase "on the shoulders of giants." Every mixtape, track, and Ecstatic Dance set I create builds upon the legacy of countless artists—including composers, bands, and DJs—who paved the way before me. As an avid Ecstatic Dancer, I continually discover fresh musical gems from fellow DJs, which seamlessly flow into my own mixes and further enrich my creative journey. Additionally, OTSO means "bear" in Finnish, resonating perfectly with my first name, Björn, which translates to "bear" in Swedish.

My musical journey began in the early '90s, producing original tracks and mixtapes from a bedroom studio. A first creative peak emerged in the mid-'90s, followed by occasional mixtape productions throughout the 2000s and 2010s. In autumn 2024, I encountered Ecstatic Dance and immediately felt drawn to it. Since early 2025, I have been developing my live DJ skills, complementing my deep-rooted passion for music curation. After successfully co-hosting my first Silent Walk event with Martina from @ecstaticdancewinterthur, I am excited to craft further Silent Walk soundtracks, explore new routes, and embrace the role of an Ecstatic Dance DJ.
